Re: Next England manager
Someone like Wenger for a tournament would be interesting, contract up next year at Arsenal; one qualifying and world cup campaign maybe?

I think he's wanted a crack at the French national team, but France will probably go quite far this tournament so deschamps will probably stay on.

Although from the names nearer the top of the list; I'd say Howe would be a good shout.

Re: Next England manager
Pards or Howe. I think Howe is going nowhere until Bournemouth go down though.

TBH I think Redknapp could do a decent job and I actually think Allardyce would be definitely better than Hodgson with the players he'd have at his disposal.

Knowing the FA they will go for some big money foreigner or Gary fucking Neville. Never mind his failure with Valencia, the current regime, and complete inexperience as a coach.

Erickson Capello...no experience in English Football and culture...and Capello no English...

The foreigners I chose do have all that...

Need a winner for England manager, keep Woy on life support until Mourinho gets sacked in three seasons

I get what your saying with those 2 but to go the complete opposite way with a Neville or Southgate is no solution.

Harry for me, should have got it rather than Woy, not saying we would be world beaters but he would have us as a decent side IMO

I can't see Howe fancying it at this stage of his career.

Re: Next England manager
Surely those saying Allardyce are trying to get a reaction...? What a step back for English football that would be. Dave Bassett as assistant?

Next England manager has to be a winner, English football hasn't had a proper English winner in management since Terry Venables. I honest can't think of an English manager other than Redknapp who can play attacking football and consistently win games while breaking down the defensive walls of lesser talented opposition.

I don't like the man, but surely Harry Redknapp is a better option than Sam Allardyce, Gareth Southgate & Gary Neville? Even Eddie Howe is too young & inexperienced in big global games to be considered.

Re: Next England manager
Bilic would be excellent, but I also don't want to loose him for that job.

I've said before, I reckon he's one of the few people who could manage both West Ham and England at the same time. I would love that, He'd probably make Noble captain. Go to Russia and win it with a West Ham manager and a West Ham captain. Never going to happen, though, as the FA do not have the balls to hire Bilic, and certainly not letting him keep his day job.

Never

I'd like to see Howe. His Probably to young and forward thinking for the FA, so it probably be Curbs or Pulis next with BFS as a technical coach.

Re: Next England manager
Anyone who knows anything about Bilic would know that he would never manage a national team other than Croatia.

At least with BFS...wouldn't get England Relegated,...

haha

Doesn't matter while the FA is still comprised of the same self serving, backward looking senile old twats.

They will pick another safe, unimaginative yes man. Neville and Southgate woudl fit the bill.

Re: Next England manager
Pardew for me, I can imagine him motivating his team to overachieve in a way which the other British teams seem to be able to do in a way England can't.

His WAGs policy might be interesting as well.....

Re: Next England manager
Parsees boom bust setup would be great if he joined pre tournament like hodgson before the last euros

We'd have a great tournament but would lose in the final to the last kick of the game

But then we would finish belowcsan Marino in our next qualifying group

Also hasn't that idiot dyke hinted that the next manager could be foreign - if that's the case get ancelloti in

Re: Next England manager
England manager is a part time job for an older experienced man who has had his club career.
Redknapp would be the right profile if he wasn't a crook and had little international club experience.

Cant think of anyone appropriate off the top of my head and expect that Southgate will get it with talk of having come through the FA system blah blah blah.

Howe and Bilic should concentrate on being good club managers

Re: Next England manager
Even when he was with us Pardew was the highest placed English Manager and given the UK's desire to have no Johnny Foreigner being Manager think Pardew would do a good job so long as they lock up all of the any half decent looking women at the F.A.

Grumpster 9:46 Thu Jun 23
Re: Next England manager
I wouldn't mind Pardew.

At least the first couple of years would be good before it became stale!

Re: Next England manager
Brendan Rogers might be a good punt at 16/1 given that the FA have been having secret talks with him

The job the Norn Iron manager Michael O Neill has done with 40 professional footballers to choose from has been phenomenal

But Pards or Howe are the logical choices bt the appointment of Southgate would not surprise me at all , he woulld be an ideal yes man
